About EEP

Shaping the Foundations of Modern Infrastructure

Infrastructure development and maintenance lie at the heart of a nation’s all-round growth. As India undertakes large-scale infrastructure expansion, there is a growing need to go beyond traditional classroom learning and bridge the gap between academic education and real-world practice. EEP was created to address this gap.

We focus on complementing college education by upskilling practicing engineers and architects, equipping them with the practical knowledge, tools, and industry exposure required to meet modern infrastructure challenges. Professionals across the infrastructure ecosystem-consulting firms, contracting and construction agencies, client and owner organisations, and academic institutions-play a critical role in creating, operating, and maintaining assets that shape the built environment.

Need for Continuing Education for Practising Civil Engineers and Architects in India

Infrastructure development is central to the country’s overall progress. However, college education alone cannot fully address the diverse and evolving needs of professionals involved in the creation, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure. Engineers and architects across consulting, contracting, client organisations, and academia require continuous upskilling. To meet this need, a comprehensive and structured training programme in infrastructure engineering has been developed to complement formal education and deliver practical, industry-relevant knowledge.
EEP course

Why Should a Practising Civil Engineer Enrol in the EEP Course?

To deepen their understanding of the evolving infrastructure landscape, EEP enables practising civil engineers and architects to contribute to more efficient, resilient, and future-ready construction practices in India. EEP offers comprehensive exposure to key aspects of construction and infrastructure management, helping professionals strengthen both technical and managerial capabilities.

Programme Growth & Impact

Launched in 2020 in collaboration with IIT Kanpur, EEP has successfully brought over 2,000 practising civil engineers and architects back to campus for structured continuing education. Responding to strong industry demand, the programme has since expanded to include additional premier institutions, enabling wider participation.

EEP remains committed to advancing excellence in infrastructure development and ensuring that professionals stay aligned with evolving technologies, standards, and best practices.
